EPIC

EARTH PUBLIC INFORMATION COLLABORATIVE

In collaboration with New Zero World, the Earth Public Information Collaborative (EPIC) is a global communications convener with a mission to harness the power of media, tech, advertising and marketing to engage the public with vital information, science, and solutions through tailored campaigns – using media and storytelling to inspire action at the speed and scale needed to address the nature and climate crises.

At LCAW 2025, EPIC announced the launch of the blueprint: Transforming Climate Narratives through Health and Wellbeing— A first-of-its-kind, much-needed communications framework designed to help institutions, organizations, corporations, and communicators create compelling narratives that connect to the core of what people care about most: their health, their families, their wallets, communities, and environment, fostering a healthier planet and people.

Over the past year, through the convening power of the Global Commons Alliance and New Zero World, EPIC has brought together an alliance of leading planetary scientists, behavioral scientists, creatives, academia, cultural voices, media, and AI technology experts. Together, we have built the infrastructure needed to align these often siloed communities in service of one shared goal: to provide trusted information to the public and activate them to promote systemic change in the climate crisis following the COP30 Presidency call to action under the “global mutirao” framework.

The Blueprint addresses this disconnect by offering a science-aligned, easy-to-use framework centering on health and wellbeing as motivators for action. At the heart of this approach is the Dimensions of Wellbeing — a tool designed to help communicators move beyond simply “sharing the science” and instead create narratives that are relatable, relevant, and deeply human. This framework enables organizations to translate the most complex climate challenges into meaningful messages that inspire and empower people, while maintaining scientific integrity. Crucially, this framework gives these topics meaning for people today – not asking them to consider ten years in the future but rather showing how the climate crisis is immediately relevant for everyone.

Universally applicable, the Blueprint can be adapted across sectors, from public health and education to media, policy, and grassroots movements. It provides a common language and structure that has long been missing from the climate communications landscape.

In the words of Johan Rockström, Director of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK): “We are all in a scary, while transformative place in time. At the same time, a majority of fellow citizens across the world share this concern, and most importantly, across all Planetary Boundaries that regulate the stability and life-support on Earth, we have scalable solutions. And not only that — go sustainable, and you go as a winner, for health, jobs, economy, security, and equity. The EPIC Blueprint provides a science-aligned narrative for the necessary and most attractive transformations to a better future for all.”

Global Artivism Movement

Earth HQ co-created and supported the Global Artivism Convening, a first-of-its-kind gathering of Global Majority artists and activists working at the intersection of culture and climate

A collaboration with Riky Rick Foundation and the Community Arts Network. Hosted in partnership with the Global Commons Alliance, the Faculty of Arts and Design at Tshwane University of Technology, the Riky Rick Foundation for the Promotion of Artivism, and Community Arts Network, in September 2024 we hosted Global Artivism Conference in Tshwane (Pretoria), South Africa. The event brought together two essential aspects: an academic conference and a platform for networking, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas among artists, scholars, activists and students from around the globe.

Nature Zone to Nature Positive

Earth HQ facilitated and supported development and launch of Nature Pavilion and Nature’s Newsroom at the COPs – a collaboration with the UN High-Level Climate Champions, Nature 4 Climate and 80+ partners – to support the robust and swift implementation of the Global Biodiversity Framework alongside the Paris Agreement.

We have hosted events at the Nature Positive Pavilion at COP27 and COP28 climate conferences in Egypt and the UAE, and the COP16 biodiversity conference in Colombia. These efforts have grown and evolved into the Nature Positive Initiative.
